Session Description
In June the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) released the first comprehensive standard for L&D metrics, containing 52 metrics recommended for large organizations and 19 for small/medium-sized organizations. It provides guidance on metric selection and reporting by type of user (for example, CEO, CLO and program manager) and covers both formal and informal learning. Definitions and sample reports are also included.
Dave Vance, who led the ISO effort, will share the background of this standard, including antecedent standards and efforts, and then will walk through the framework and its key components with a focus on the recommended metrics. He will conclude with advice on how this standard can be used to create or improve your own measurement strategy and how it will benefit the profession.
