Workshop: Effective Use of Assessments for a Skills-Based Organization

Shifting to a skills-based learning strategy requires organizations to be responsive and meet the needs of all employees. A successful strategy goes beyond content curation, sophisticated recommendation platforms and reduction of content. It must also include a way for employees to easily assess and track their progress on skills at any moment and as their learning needs change. 

This makes development-based assessments a critical tool for any skills-first organization. When these assessments are positioned as informative and not evaluative, employees receive powerful and relevant data that fuels the insights needed to effectively recommend and guide their skill progression.  

In this session, McKinsey will share examples from using development-based assessments across the talent spectrum, including talent acquisition, onboarding and risk and compliance, as well as insights from its game-based innovation lab.
